Where We Repair Garage Doors Around Bourbonnais

Garage door repair in Bourbonnais

Bourbonnais is in Kankakee County, just north of Kankakee along Interstate 57 and the Kankakee River, and home to Olivet Nazarene University. Bradley and Kankakee border the village, and we cover Manteno, Aroma Park and the other ZIP codes listed below.

Census figures show about 66% of homes in Bourbonnais are detached houses and about 70% are owner-occupied. Most are single-family homes with attached garages, plus some townhome and duplex communities.

Prairie wind and Illinois winters

The land around Kankakee is flat and open, so wind hits garage doors hard. Over time it loosens hinges and can bend the top section of a wide door, especially if the door has no strut across it.

Winter cold is the main reason springs break here. Steel gets more brittle as the temperature drops, and a worn spring often fails on the first very cold day.

Spring thunderstorms can cause power surges that damage an opener's logic board. If your opener stopped working after a storm, the board or the safety sensors are the first things to check.
